Ten Pound King George VI-circa 1940-1952
The introduction of the Ten Pound with signature combinations of Sheehan/McFarlane in 1940 featured King George VI on the obverse side in a middle relief facing forward which strayed from the normal bas-relief of Kings to that time of left side facing to the left. A total of 20 million banknotes were produced. The banknote measured 181X79MM was vivid red in colour and featured a bas-relief panel on the reverse side of “Agriculture”.
